Paul Goodrich

Paul W. Goodrich is a seasoned business and operations executive with 25 years of senior banking experience in the private sector. He currently works as the chief operating officer for Chicago Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot. He leads the oversight, development, and implementation of strategic mayoral initiatives and policy priorities for transportation and infrastructure. He also helps oversee priorities for regulatory and municipal administrative services. Goodrich is responsible for implementing various federal government support programs that help cities like Chicago recover stronger from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Before joining the Lightfoot administration, Goodrich had a successful career in finance. He most recently ran a consultancy, assisting clients in governance, investments, and change management. Before that, Goodrich served in various senior positions at BNY Mellon, U.S. Trust Bank of America, and the Northern Trust Corporation. Goodrich also served as a consultant for Choose Chicago, a marketing organization for the city. He currently serves as a steering committee member of Chicago’s COVID Recovery Taskforce and co-chairs the task force’s regional work. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Kenyon College, where he still serves as a member of the college’s Parents Advisory Board. Additionally, he is an executive committee board member and treasurer of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago. Goodrich lives on the North Side of Chicago with his wife and three sons.
